The Skagit Watershed Council
is a community partnership for salmon. The Council supports and
endorses voluntary restoration and protection of natural landscape
processes that formed and sustained the habitats to which salmon stocks
(as well as other native aquatic and riparian dependent species) are
adapted. By means of collaboration, technical assistance and education,
we seek to fulfill our mission, which is to understand, protect and
restore the production and productivity of the Skagit and Samish
watersheds in order to support sustainable fisheries.
Seattle City Light
is in business to sustain and enhance the community's quality of life
by providing excellent energy services to our customers and to be the
most customer-focused, competitive, efficient, innovative,
environmentally responsible utility in the United States. Making
electricity has impacts on the environment. But Seattle City Light
wants to make them light impacts so we operate our business with a
commitment to environmental stewardship. Our fish and wildlife programs
on the Skagit, our partnerships in environmental education and
recreation, and our in-house environmental management are light impact
in action.
The Skagit River System Cooperative
is a natural resource management agency working on behalf of the
Sauk-Suiattle and Swinomish Indian Communities. On behalf of these
sovereign nations the Skagit River System Cooperative works to improve
fisheries throughout usual and accustomed lands in the Skagit River
basin ceded through 1855 treaties with the United States.
